You're still looking at £500 ish probably, (unless you go for a 2.5hp )... but mine will have at least twice the hp, which should help compensate for the weight disadvantage .... and be alot less likely to fall apart, as well as having an engine designed for minimoto's rather than strimmers

The Blata 'Super' is apparantly quite good.... but everything I've read says avoid the cheap ones.

hey,nothing wrong with the blatas.fair enough there only 3.4bhp but it depends on wot ur using them 4.they still got the power to drag a fat bastard around .na seriously get a blata 4 starters and once uve got used to that get a watercooled minimoto.90mph wayhey.i got a blata,there fun enough 4 a race around every now and then.

Fair enough if you're just messing about them... but we'll probably be using them on tracks mostly... it gets annoying when you're on a hire bike and you just can't go any faster. So I can see it getting really annoying when people on hire bikes come past you, on the straights when you're going round the outside of them on every corner.

Anyway... that's the general impression I got about Blata's... I still don't know much about minimoto...

I'm basically re-designing the game engine that I made for my uni project...I'm gonna use D3D instead/in addiiton to OpenGL.

The shiny floor at Hullavington meant that it did slide at every opportunity ... including quite a few two-wheel slides

Yea, I occasionally have look through ebay for minimoto's, despite allready having one

1. Dunno what it it, but it looks a bit home made, with far too much fairing

2. Go for it if you're brave enough and don't mind a lot maintenance (think they're 13hp as well)

3. If you can find someone insane enough to join you .. thouh I think the faster ones use cg 125 engines or similar.
