AGV TiTech Evo Gothic 46 Gothic White

Now been superceded by the TiTech Evo Gothic 46 yellow
(essentially the same, but with yellow where the white was on mine)

Bought at the NEC, November 2006. Paid £320.

I highly rate this lid. Much better quality than the previous helmets I've had. The lining is removable and washable, loads of vents that actually work. It's fairly noisy, but it is more of a race orientated lid than a touring/commuting one. The lining itself is very plush and hasn't compacted that much over the past year and a bit of use. The visor change mechanism is very simple and easy to use. Overall the lid feels very well made even if the paint is a little thin.

I've only got a couple of minor niggles with it to be honest. The first is that it cuts into my forehead a bit after long periods of riding. It's definitely more noticable on naked bikes than faired ones.

It's also a bit annoying that the vents are plain titanium instead of being painted like on Rossi's, but that's just me being petty.

It's also picking up a couple of stone chips, one on the back and one on the front, each around 3mm in diameter, so it make me think the paint could be thicker on the shell, but aside from that it's been brilliant.

Marks: 79/100 Loses marks for the thin paint and red foreheads.

I haven't I'm just saying that the newer version is in different colours. I didn't mean that I had it.
