whatever fits u best mate.

craft may well be noiser, have crap vents, loosen up very quickly but looks kool as fcuk

agv looks ok, works well, has an anti fog visor, and new internals can be purchased if needed.

why not go to a palce like heing ericke and get them to fit you out into a new lid to suite you ?

Im after a new helmet too, Is it best to get a flip front one? I dont particullarly like them but if you have an accident people want/need to take off your lid, not good if you have a neck/back injury, so a flip front one avoids this? I saw a CABERG JUSTISSIMO GT, are they any good? Cheers.

I saw some places selling the HJC FQ carbon fibre lid for 150 quid. That's got a sleek, pointy appearance and would look ultra mad with the black bike, especially in plain carbon. pretty comfortable mind!

I would recommend Craft to anyone, i've had an RX9 now since 1999 (time i got a new one). It still fits well, not too sure about noise levels v's other lids though. But as above its got to fit right.

Lee.

Get a plain black Shoei, they sell for around £170 ish i think, but I can't reccomend them enough. Really quiet, comfortable, brilliant anti-fog insert that comes with them (never steams up, at all), simple but good design and they feel high quality. Shoei fo' lyfe Very Happy

Shark are a good brand, as reputable as Arai / Shoei / AGV etc.

It looked good though. Wink

Just been googling the Airoh TR1 as do really need a new lid as last summer I just bought the 1st lid I tried for the right price, cheap as chips to test ride a bike.

https://img.youtube.com/vi/JUh8sYAmGzs/default.jpg

I think it looks like a mix between the Caberg V2 and a Roof Boxer, and with a limited edition in chrome its a real a head turner.

I have a Lazer Karma, its a alloy-Plastic composite. Good anti-fog visor, nice fit, good build quality. However it is a bit noisy and only comes with a car seatbelt type buckle. Its also not going to be as good as the likes of Arai should the worst happen. Having said that it is better than the plastic only variaty.

If you have the cash and plan to use your bike alot go Arai or Shoei. They ofter the best protection, best fit (your head will fit on one or the other) and the best quality.

I decided on the Lazer because it was the right price (100 quid) and I don't use my bike every day. It was a good fit, had all the features I wanted and l liked the style.

Shark RSi is the best helmet I've had, or tried on recently. Just feels good, and has the world's greatest visor change.

Riding a bike less frequently than every day doesn't warrant the use of a sub-standard helmet. Accidents don't take into account your bike-usage when they happen.

There's also no point saying "I think Ill splash out and get an arai seeing as Ill be riding near enough every day." Go for the helmet that fits best. If that happens to be an Arai, good for you. it could also happen to be a Shoei, Lazer, Takachi etc.; an expensive helmet isn't going to protect you better if it doesn't fit as well, and may not offer better protection than its cheaper rivals regardless of fit.

In short: price isn't a clear indication of performance, and you should place a helmet's fit above every other factor.
