I have an intel mac mini with a DVI output - that runs through a DVI to VGA converter and to a normal monitor. I've just bought a HD tv and it has 2x HDMI inputs, a VGA input a component input and a few others. I have loads of films on the pooter that i'd like to watch on the tv and they are pretty close to bloody best quality so what would be the best way to connect to the tv? DVI to HDMI or vga to vga ?( I'm aware that vga doesn't carry sound) The bonus with VGA is i can buy a switch for next to nothing so i dont have to go fiddling round the back every time. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Port-Way-VGA-Monitor-Switch/dp/B000J249JC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1198786619&sr=8-1
Thanks for any advice - Nick. |

I'd have thought VGA > VGA makes the most sense as I'd expect it to be cheapest and you're not switching from one format to another (as with DVI > HDMI). I'm pretty sure either would get you a perfect picture though. ____________________ Photos and that |
