Just now I found a nail in one of the tread crevaces .... almost straight in .... this one seems a bit worryin, should I pull it out ? WTF am I getting so many nails in my tyres ? is this normal ?

Depends where you're riding it, if you ride in the areas of the road that car wheels don't roll over all the time you're quite likely to pick up any shite that's collected there.

Also, the softer compound tyres are more likely to pick up nails/sharp stuff, so watch out.

I found a screw embedded in my NSR tyre, it had been half worn away so it must have been in there quite a while.

I'd pull the nail out, it's probably better to get a puncture now (fairly unlikley though) than when you're going flat out on a busy dual carrigeway (or anywhere else).
