First Geared Bike?

Ok guys.. Title says it all

I'm looking for a geared bike.. Preferably with fairings but that doesn't matter.

I'm on roughly a 500 pound budget and can't travel a great distance.

Its going to be very different if you want a 125 for a CBT or a 500 for DAS

For a geared 50 id recommend a rs50, derbi senda or a tzr 50. Im not sure you could get one in decent condition for that price though.

you`ll struggle to get a geared 50 for £500. i got my ts for £700 with lots of extra goodies. no point looking for a rs or tzr unless you want to do alot of work to it. try some of the older trial/enduro style bikes.

I'd get a naked one for the first bike, so if (when?) you drop it, you've got fewer things to repair. Or, put some crash bungs and bar ends (but those add another £75 and £25 respectively).

You should look at 125's, you are really limiting yourself otherwise.
I'd get a CG125 which is a good learner bike, doesnt get too much damege when dropped as naked and can be picked up for less than £400.

ooo nice bike i have a 125 sorted already.. my dads mate has a Aprilia much like yours 06 reg that he is saving for me.. only wants 1450 for it but first I've got to get to 17

I think geared bikes are more fun. Ive only ridden a 50cc scooter on my cbt and even that was getting boring towards the end.


And im not just saying that because my bikes for sale though i would mention that

Ive looked into a rs50 with a little investment but for the price im willing to pay for my first bike... I'm not to sure it can be repaired if damaged. So in conclusion...

I'm going to get a sh*t heap lol
