No brake light when applying the back brake

The other day i notcied that when i use the back brake, the light doesn't come on.

It comes on when i apply the front brake though.

Surely this isn't normal?

No its not normal.
Either the brake switch needs adjusting, obvious to see how to do it if you take a look at it, the spring connecting the switch to the pedal has come loose, or the switch or wiring is faulty.

Go for the easy stuff first and see if it works if you adjust it.

To test the switch short out the two wires going into it. Make sure the ignition is turned on.

Its obviously the brake switch.Try pulling the switch down manually to see if the light comes on.if it does your back brake or pedal needs adjusting.if it doesnt come on its probably the switch itself.
