Ok iv got a mate who says he will repair my front fairing for me, but he needs to know what type of plastic it is, iv tried a couple of Yamaha dealers and Yamaha uk and searched the internet and still cant find what type of plastic is used.

Its a Yamaha XJ600S diversion '97. If anyone knows then it'd be very helpful, the bloke whos going to do the repair did say it would be either (something) or (something) (polypropene/pane or something like that?)

Just gonna post, Its ABS!!! Worked in the plastics industry (moulding) for many years. Most bodywork is ABS because it give a good surface, unlike polyprop which tends to be used in the food industry. Also ABS is formed rather than moulded.

You can get a plastic weld kits, basically an ABS rod and a heat gun.
