I've always wondered why, for example a Jimmy Lomas exhaust with two pipes on the Aprilia RS250 would have one on each side of the rear wheel yet still have one lower than the other, surely it's not to do with looks? is it a performance increasing kind of thing or is it just badly designed? many thanks for any information... Remember the cylinders won't be in the same place on a V-twin.

Hi

Lengths are important (very important) and it is difficult to get both pipes to end in the same place when they are starting in a different place (being a v twin in the RS250s case).

All the best

Keith

So you can get the wheel spindle out without having to remove the exhaust?
