Picked up my 07 Hornet in December I haven't even had the chance to ride it yet. Either it has been pissing it down or I've been ill. I can't wait for the summer though, the hot days, sticky roads, boy racers trying it on Laughing and everything else.

Hornet's work in winter too y'know. In fact, they're pretty sensible as a winter bike and will see off a boy racer quite easily.

Get out and ride the thing.

I know my last bike I had I rode a bit in the Winter but the backend kept on stepping out so fuck that. Also, the roads around here are very greasy at this time of year. Not my idea of fun.

Teaches you to be a better rider going out in the winter. I like riding this time of year as the roads are quiet and there are no weekend warriors about to get in the way.

I ride through winter, but love the summer for my jaunts around The Lakes. I love Bowness on Windemere for the chocolate topped ice-cream they sell there.

Need to sort out doing my test so i can get a big bike, all ready for summer Very Happy

And forgoodness sake, get out and ride! The roads everywhere are greasy as buggery this time of year, just take it easy, and don't go mad.

as above, winter improves your riding skills, don't ride for a few months and you stand more chance of being on the spill counter when you first get back on the bike.

I'm waiting for a decent summer like we had in 2006, last years was pathetic.

Its good to ride in winter as everyone has said above.

My favourite time of the year, is around late June, when its light till after 10 at night.

I love being up at Devil's bridge and leaving at 9 and riding to Harrogate, the road is deserted, its fantastic.

I remember once going all the way from Devil's to Skipton, only meeting one car. Absolutely awesome.

I know it mashes up the trails and everything but I so want to give that a go!

I hate riding in the rain at night, I think its very dodgy and no fun at all. I'm also not that keen at riding in the dark. When I get up for work, its dark, when I leave, its dark.

Dry weekends I'm out thou! Smile

Not that I dislike the summer but riding in the city in the winter, There's definitely less (how do I put this politely), "inexperienced" riders on the road causing problems.
