hotline hold music driving me up the wall

I'm currently sufferring the croning Frank Sinatra at the hands of Direct Line... 20 minutes so far

Thank fuck I never called the 0845 number!

It could be worse, they could be playing the "your call is currently in a queue. please continue to hold and it will be answered by the next available operator." alternating between telling you that and "your call is important to us. please continue to hold and your call will be answered shortly"

20 minutes isn't too bad, have had ones where was waiting on hold for ages to get through, and then on hold again when being put through to the correct department, and then on hold yet again when being put through to the correct person, and then on hold yet again when they go and find out whatever it is you're wanting to know, and then they get back and start talking about whatever it is, but the handset battery dies after the hours of sitting on hold listing to stupid music on speaker phone. Bastards!!!!
