I was under the impression that the proposed 2p increase in fuel duty was postponed till October 2008.

Yet every garage round here has suddenly increased their prices by 2p a ltr....... Since Wednesday....

Maybe i'm just being cyinical in thinking the petrol companies has simply not miss heard the budget, but have seen a chance to fleece a extra 2p a ltr out of us all......

but on the flip side oil has been hitting $111 a barrel lately , but thats not due to supply demand issues its due to the USD becoming nearly worthless.

some finance analysts I've read articles of are predicting £1.50 a litre , some serious bears are predicting £2.20.

£1.50 will trigger a serious period of hyper inflation (current inflation is 20% based on the petrol inflation index), and we will be in alot of trouble, since theres nowt to bail us out no oil , no industry etc.

£2.20 will signal the apocalypse of the UK economy.
