<rant>

There are countless posts where I see people using the word "loose" rather than "lose".

I'll put into context:

"Don't wheelie, or you might loose your licence".

The correct terms should be:

"Don't wheelie, or you might lose your licence".

Or

"Don't wheelie, or your loose front wheel may fall off".

No fear, the Spelling Fairy is here Rolling Eyes Thumbs Up

Folks who write like a breathless 8 year old girl telling a story.

No punctuation and over use of the word 'and.'

I always have to think about ei and ie in words, it never looks right to me...

Other than that, I'm purfect.

Mixing up of brake and break is probably the one that irritates me the most.

Also their/they're/there.

An impromptu survey: do we all watch "Grumpy Old Men" and nod in agreement with what they're saying?

Smile

Only thing that annoys me is when people use "brought" as bought, and vice-versa.

Eg; I just brought this bike for £400.

The correct way is; I just bought this bike for £400.

That is all.

Unfortunately, Mr Perfect Speller, your malformed critique contains far more basic grammatical and spelling errors than the subject of your displeasure:

Use of "that" instead of "than".

Missing apostrophe and multiple incorrect use of an ellipsis instead of a colon.

Uncapitalised words, mis-capitalised words and incorrect placement of periods.

3/10

Report to the Head of English for remedial detention.

I get annoyed with "discreet" and "discrete"

Working girls' websites which say "I offer a discrete service for discerning gentlemen/in my discrete studio flat/in a discrete part of [wherever]" ...

Oh really, luv, and how is your service/flat/part of town distinct from most other working girls, then?
