You've missed something.

If you have a fuel mixture that is correctly compressed and ignited at the right time then you have no problems.

If you had no reaction from the bradex, misfire/backfire then it would suggest that the spark isn't correct. Try warming up the spark plug on a gas cooker.

Yeah, Ive tried that, and pouring a little petrol down the plug hole, still nothing.

Ive tried 4 different plugs (all same model of course), 3 of them brand new.

Cheers mate!

Yeah, arrived this morning, I bolted it all back up, re-set the timing as i wasnt 100% sure it was perfect.. lined the marks up, with BTDC and points, so all sorted in that respect..

Cant believe it, still absolutely no sign of life what-so-ever!

Cheers mate!

Sounds dumb, but did you check that your not 180 out? I usually put a welding rod in the spark plug hole to make sure it is TDC.

Do you think its plausable that the condenser could be knackered?

As the current stator/mag on the bike is a replacement from a breaker, although claimed to be from a running bike!

Thanks!

Thanks for the offer mate, but to be honest, I had the engine in boxes, so i'd like to see it running rather than buy another one.

Kinda defeats the object..

Cheers anyway!

You tried bumping it off? My brothers TS 125 recently wouldn't start for anything and turns out he might have put a fracture inside the engine casing because of using water not anti-freeze.

Possibly, but then you wouldn't have a good spark. Last time I brought one it was only a couple of quid. Be worth trying.
