Hi All,

After a bit of Advice about the usual Misting of Visors.

On my old cheap Nitro I had a Foggy Respro thing and worked a treat, but in my new KBC VR2, the Velcro wont stick ( better quality material, but Velcro wont attach Sad ) so I cant use it, so I have major misting/fogging issues.

Been reading up on Fog City's, Pinlocks etc, but just don't know what to go for. A Pinlock visor for my lid will cost me about £35 including 1 insert. Fog City, would be the usual £15-£20.

But I've also found stuff called Cat Crap ... What would be the most advisable method?

Are the pinlocks really that much better to compensate for the extra expense?

I've heard of Fog City's not working well, but also Pinlocks misting in the middle can anyone expand on this?

If someone could let me know ASAP it would be most appreciated as I do seem to have issues with this, especially at night.

It's just a shame the foggy wont attach inside as that worked a treat.

Cheers all,

Luke.

pinlock and fog citys are pretty much the same just two different brands:
Fog City and Pinlock.

Pinlock are general to fit into visors with pins in or come as a kit with the pins you can drill into your visor, it makes no difference to how they work just helps you align the insert. but in the same instance fog city also make inserts for pined visors.

There is something called a Hyper optic from fog city which tints and this is the more expensive one but well worth the money

The only way they will mist up is if you fit them wrong or have them fitted by a cowboy,
They need to be flat on the visor and have the bead of glue perfectly seal arround the insert sticking it to the visor, if it is not stuck it will get the condensation on the inside and be useless! if it is stuck properly it will be sealed and be fantacsic and you shall never consider anything else.

I ride with my hyper optic at nigh day and dusk and never causes a problem for me.

I got mine from sportsbikeshop.co.uk

Oh and i wouldn't put cat crap on my visor would stink! Laughing

Hope that all makes sence lol Thumbs Up

Pinlock needs no glue so thats a bonus. It is just a silicone insert that I have found to be 100% effective as long as its removed and replaced every now and again. By that I mean just repositioning it again so as to keep the seal tip top. Cool

Pinlocks great as long as you look after it and keep it adjusted, got to be careful cleaning them though.
