Ok, last night had my first ever soaking from a car going through a puddle while I was walking on the pavement.

I was very pissed off! It was literally 20 yards from home as well Evil or Very Mad

To be fair it must have looked very amusing, proper 'advert / cartoon' wave came up right over my head.

Could see the chav in the car looking in his rear view mirror as he sped off as well.

Anyone else had it happen to them?

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Razz

Bonus points if you manage to get a car going the other way that happens to be a soft top with its roof down.

i've had it done to me before so I know the feeling - at least you was near the hse....i had to walk for ages and catch a bus whilst soaked to the bone.

Tho, I've done it to some poor chap for a laugh. Was hilarious....but ULTRA cruel

Had that recently.

Pootling along at around 60mph on a dual carriage way, loads of surface water. Get to the end of the carriage way single lane with hatchings on the right hand side. Some bint in one of those new minis comes hairing up over the hatchings, I swerve then get soaked in her back wash.

I followed her (had a hard time keeping up) to her destination. Knocked on her window but she wouldn't come out or wind it down, took her reg down then left her to it.

I was never keen on those minis before, they're usually being driven by dense hair dressers or over paid PA's, young female professionals with power hair do's and no observation skills.

That said, I love going through puddles in the van. Its one of lifes few pleasures. Very Happy

I've been drowned by a First bus in Leeds before.
Black water; from dry to swimming in a fraction of a second. Neutral

Bit of foresight as a pedestrian helps.

I got someone drenched accidently (was going round a corner) the other day, suffice to say I didn't stop laughing for the rest of my journey.

Not on his word alone.

People always say 'Did you get the reg number?'

What use is a reg number, The police won't/can't do anything.

One day driving into sixth form some little shite threw a mint from a group of year 7s and 8's or something and hit my car.

Well next day it had just rained and a nice puddle had formed.

I floored it and hit the puddle it went high as hell and soaked a good 15+ kids on a cold winters morning.

God it felt good.

Traffic cop was waiting by my car when I come out of reception Thumbs Up

Nothing happened just told me off Laughing

Granted, yeah. First thing I'd look for though. Then maybe someone laughing at me (witness?) THEN I'd go looking for the car. Twisted Evil

When I was younger when me and my friends used to ride our pushbikes around the industrial estates and it had been raining there was a bridge where the road dipped down to go under the bridge. Whenever it rained there used to be a huge puddle at least a foot deep under the bridge and the bridge supports were about as wide as a person. The pavement was elevated for some reason but when a lorry from one of the industrial estates went through it would send water shooting everywhere completely soaking the pavement apart from small bits where the bridge supports were. We used to play a game where you had to stand 1 each behind a bridge support and then get someone to signal to a passing lorry to go through the puddle and the loser was the kid that got the wettest! I lost that game a few times.....

I don't why I just told everyone that, I had completely forgotten about it untill I read this thread and it must have been at least 10 years ago the last time I did but they were good times!
