I'm struggling to get the assessor who looked at my bike to budge from the £800 value he gave it.

The reason being is that he's going of the Glass's guide price which is £1300 for one in good condition.

I sent evidence that the only bikes for sale at the time where priced at 3k + but I think the message didnt get to him as intended as his reply back via the people handling my claim was that there was no way my bike was worth 3k which I know it isn't.

I have been told by the claim handler that the only way I can get him to budge from the Glass's guide price is to find a bike in similar condition and mileage as mine advertised at a higher price. That's fine if it's a cbr600 or something equally as common but not with my NSR.

Anyone know how I can get around this as I'd struggle buying one in a load of boxes in bits for £800 Twisted Evil

Sorry for the ramble.

Do they have to be UK ads?

Could make things a little easier. There was a Rothmans in an issue of ride recently, but that had about 200 miles on it, I'll try and dig out the issue if I can.

EDIT

Found that copy of RiDE, the same bike is still for sale, I think it's the same spec as yours.

It's a 3625 miles un-registered(in the UK) bike and is up for £4995, but may help a little.

I would have thought so. The only 2 bikes I can find advertised are £4000 now. Cool

See link, although it's for an SP.

I've seen that one. Thumbs Up

If that's worth 5k I cant see that mine (thats an SP without the Magtek wheels) is only worth £1300 in mint condition.
