Hello Smile

Been looking on fleebay(ebay) for a while and noticed a few aprilia rs 125cc motorbikes that were 07 plates here's one.
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/APRILIA-RS125-O7-BODYWORK-FITTED-STUNNING-BIKE_W0QQitemZ110215362597QQihZ001QQcategoryZ9913QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Is it me or does the front view on this and most aprilia bikes look horrible?
The rest of the bike is great but the front spoils it imo.

Get the pre 07 one. Looks like a 125 GP bike, that's the one to have!

Ah im the opposite. I think the front looks pretty good, but those dirty white tanks and the tail looks nasty.

I agree, as well as this they're faster! Cool By the way that's an old RS125 with new bodywork...

A 1997 engine thats done 3000 miles? Pull the other one.

And ask yourself why it needed to have all the '07 stuff added? Sure it could be someone who just loves the new shape so much, and wanted an older engine in..but a 1997 engine...with 3000 miles?

Hmm.

Anyways, I think all the RS's look bloody gorgeous, dont really prefer a type. Though if i had the choice...Id probably have a newer one. Dunno why, cos id equally have an older one. Weird.

Nah i dont think the front ruins it. Looks good Thumbs Up

the mileage on the new clocks actually says 3770 miles so thats closer to 4000, but thats the mileage of the donor bike, not the one underneath.

I cant help thinking stolen parts fitted to an old bike.

It does seem like a particularly pointless and expensive point otherwise, especially with the stupidly expensive price of genuine Aprilia fairings. He has even changed the speedo & exhaust to that of the new shape, obviously, as you said implying that's the mileage of whatever bike he has taken that speedometer off of.

I think he's trying to launder either written off bikes put back onto the road with stolen parts or somehow knows of handy friends that can tart up the bikes. I very much doubt that the bike is in good condition - whip off the panels and you will see acres of corrosion. If i were you, i'd do a Hpi check if i was tempted with that bike.

Some poor sod is out there on an 07 RS125 in just its rolling chassis minus front forks!

Sounds very fishy and i'd definitely pump for more info.

HTH.

Hi

Personally I suspect the only thing 1997 about that bike is the log book.

All the best

Have to agree with Kickstart Keith on this one... Thumbs Up

The forks look as though they are off the new model aswell....so does everything else about it!

The only 1997 original about it could be just that.. the Logbook
