If I need waterproofing I just use a set of hiking waterproofs over my regular stuff - just buy a large set and they fit over your gear, saving you a lot of money at the same time!

yeah i use navy gortex over trousers, i have "water proof" triumph trousers, but they definitly are not water proof and they are a bastard to get into, the navy ones and most over rousers will let you get into them with out having to take off your boots.
mine live in my tankbag and take up no room, untill theyy are needed, and take 10seconds to get on, on the side of the road.

This +1

Ive got some and they go over the gear easy enough, there totally water tight and cost a grand total of £16 for the top and bottom. Never used waterproofs again but i'll make sure i have these with me from now on!

Don't forget that once you're done they roll up into teeny packages too, so they are easy to take along if you're out for a ride.

Sounds like me! 15 quid waterproof jacket that rolls into a small bag from Decathlon
25 quid (although you can get these for much cheaper) waterproof hiking overtrousers. Both keep me toasty warm and dry, even in heavy rain... They are good windproofers too (keep out the draft...)

I got a pair from Hein Gericke for £30
decent quality, lined with that mesh stuff so they arent as hot, has a pocket on the leg near the knee as well so you can look like a fighter pilot Embarassed

I've got these, and theyre awesome, only problem is the waist is a bit too big, but I had to go with the larger waist otherwise they felt a bit restrictive on the thighs. Could be a bigger problem for women I guess Razz

They do make you look like some sort of future soldier/cop/swat thingy though if you have a black outfit Cool
