I am sick of my loud exhaust but i really like how it looks (stubby) was thinking of converting back to the standard but it looks so crappy.

Do you think if i stick this in and some more exhaust packing it will reduce it a lot??? Would like it really queit Cool

yeah, although not the cheapest option, having a small cmmuter bike to commute on is a good idea especially in shit weather.

Long term it will probably save you money.

I'd opt for the opposite. Retain the sound (use a removable db killer when necessary) and increase the can's length.

Is it only me that thinks stubbies on older bikes just look wrong?

Oi! , my NTV came with a standard Honda stubby can, infact the NTV is so old these days with a few folks I rode with ages ago they thought it was a cool mod I'd put onto the bike.

Y'see, that works better, because it was designed to that way. The exhaust ends at a point that's been considered with the rest of the bike. Although, given the length and height of the tail piece, I can't help but wonder it it would have been an improvement to lengthen the can somewhat, so it ends at the edge of the bike's back rim.

My point is, stubbies on 'some' bikes look like they've, quite literally, been suddenly cut off, halting a line through a bike instead of letting it flow to the point in which it was meant to. A too-large block of negative space, so to speak.

I have a bike with a standard exhaust.
Just to prove I'm not a 'gay', everytime I take it out I find a kitten owned by someone in the locality and slaughter it.
Thus my manliness is preserved and everyone realises it.

I do too, the one on the ZX6 doesn't look to bad but most older stock bikes with stubbies look abit silly.

One more complaint to the police or our landlord and we are being kicked out Laughing

We have a neighbour who lives about 40 meters away and complains every night about us, sometimes even when we aren't even in!!!

Got to agree. Surely it takes you longer to get leathered up, pull the bike out from it's coverings/take the locks off, fire it up, ride to college then lock it all up etc... Than it would to just get a pushbike out of your front door and pedal to college. 1.5 miles should take less than 10 minutes. If you're slow.

I find that kicking down the complaintants door and holding them down whilst explaining what would happen if they complained one more time is the best method, that or place a gun firmly bewteen their teeth and ask them to complain again to your face.
If they say "What" several times, then as samuel jackson did, proceed with the qoute "Do they speak english in what?" then soak the place with lead... Ahhh if only this was the way.
Scene in question.
