The time has come for me to buy a bed as I'm getting sick of sleeping on air mattreses!

So far I've decided on the following, from Ikea:

Aneboda Double Bed Frame 140x200 £47.00
Lillaker Bed Base £38.00
Sultan Fageras Mattress £80.00

Total is £165 for a decentish bed.

Is Ikea stuff any good?

Can anyone suggest somewhere to get a similar thing a bit cheaper?

The mattress is the most important bit. The one we have on the double bed at home cost about £300.

Just bear in mind Ikea beds are different sizes to normal beds and so when it comes to replace a mattress you'll most likely have to buy from Ikea again!
For this reason I refuse to buy beds from them, also fitted sheets can be a nightmare too! Rolling Eyes

I've just bought the Malm single bed from Ikea for my tennant and the cheapest mattress Jaren (25 quid.. I'm a nasty git lol ) and the quality is good. The bedframe was slightly more than the budge range but it was good thick wood panels and felt quality.

I've also just bought the Aneboda wardrobe (49.90 in Birch) and can't grumble at the cost, it looks pretty smart set up and went together no problem

I had a good look at aneboda beds when I was there this week and it looked pretty tidy, don't think you can go far wrong with it.

Just another point tho, I bought fitted sheets for the Ikea Matress from Asda and it fits fine so Thumbs Up

Tis very true! If you do buy a mattress from Ikea you'll most probs have to buy all the bed sheets from there too. The sizes are cut differently.
I bought a Round bed from Ikea - its SOO comfy.
I would recommend Ikea, cheap, tasteful and comfy. Bargain - good for on a budget!

The Ikea super king size is the same as everyone elses. That's the only bed that can be used with other mattresses as far as I am aware.

I'm using an Ikea Leksvik frame, it's fairly sturdy and shows no signs of creaking or other annoyances. No idea what their own mattress range is like.

Last time I went to Ikea I found myself looking at a load of WANKA tools.

Then I stopped off at the cafe for a HERPEESE cup of traditional coffee and BIGDIK hotdog. Excellent value.

But the best offer of the day was on KUNTFACE clocks. Buy one get one free, even though I decided to upgrade and get a FUKYASELF wooden frame clock.
Its a really good shopping experience and the prices are amazing! The names also add to the authentic feel!

Ikea is great, after I split with my ex she took our rather expensive bed so I went Ikea crazy.

Got a Malm double bed with the bog standard Sultan Hogbo spring mattress and its been great. Very comfy, easy to build and no sqweaks or rattles. Thumbs Up

Ikea are the spawn of satan. Buying things from Ikea ensures your place in hell.

You do realise buying three items means you have to queue three times, pay three times etc etc.

Been once, created a scene. Will not return without dynamite Twisted Evil
