Hi there,
I'm going to be doing more work on the zxr400 and other bikes I intend to own and want to be able to have the bike up at a decent working height.
Basically what lifts/stands do you have and how good are they for maintainance? (this will include engine/swinging arm removals)
Also cost and a small review please.
I have a few hundred quid to play with but don't mind second hand.
Cheers
Dan

I've yet to find much that proved to be better than ratchet axle stands and trolley or bottle jacks.

the Abba (?) stand seems to get good feedback from most people.

I you've the money then a table lift is very useful for getting the bike into a better position.

yeh i was looking at table lifts to be honest, I understand the principle of the abba and realise its pretty safe but the idea of it hovering about on just the swinging arm bolt/nut just doesnt gel with my brain I'm afraid.
I've been offered a sealey one quite cheap but wondering what theyre like?
cheers
dan

i brought a abba satand and would recomend it, it's safe on the swing arm bolt thing too it's down to how much you want to spend on one, a table one would be best if you've got the cash
