yep, i was knocked off today, attempting to get to a mates house just as the rain was starting, the roads were packed and everyone was being typically dopey as tends to happen in the rain

i was doin about 25 on a section of roads filled with shops on both sides and lots of side roads, and some twat comes screaming out of a side road on my right, didnt look into the lane he was enterting, just came straight through the traffic and into my lane, when he finally saw me, he tried to stop, but blocked most of the lane in the process, and i knew he was gonna hit me

i grabbed for the brakes but next to nothing happened cos it was really wet, so i tried to dodge it, but didnt quite make it, and the bike went bouncing off his front bumper, i fell of and went rolling along the road, and the bike seemed to stop dead when it hit the floor along with a nasty "crack"

so having knocked me and my bike pretty much off the road, he just fucked off, didnt stop or anything, and possibly whats worse, is no one else stopped and no one helped or anything, traffic just kept on as my bike wasnt blocking it and no one batted an eye lid, tis the season, merry fucking christmas

luckily the bike started, and the damage was minimal which was some consolation, small scratches along the left hand fairing, along with massive cracks and flapping bits of fairing, luckily the mirror seemed to break the fall as all the indicators, footpegs and everything were fine, just my beautiful fairing is cracked up and the mirror is a bit fucked

so this really sucks, one of those days

like i said before tell police, they may put a sign up saying accident here etc if they beleive you someone would of seen something. apparntly none of the cage drivers gave statements on my accident luckily there was a pub where i hit him and there were nice friendly motorcyclists in the pub!

The Christmas season really seems to be bringing teh arseholes out of the woodwork .
Talk to the police. You may be able to claim against the Insurance industry fund set up to compensate people from Hit & Runs and uninsured drivers.

There are lots of thing the police should be able to do. CCTV, signs, or maybe another driver even reported it.

Your 100% legal, therefore you have nothing to loss by reporting it. And that fucker will hopefully get whats coming to him

The only thing is that you then have to report to insurer's you've been involved in an accident (in Luke's case he wouldn't I presume as he wasn't on it at the time)
AFAIK you get higher insurance for just being in an accident, even if it wasn't your fault and you didn't claim.
So it maybe any compensation doesn't cover teh increased premiums over the next few years.
The 'system' sucks.

Report it to the police. Failing to stop after an accident is a serious offence. If they have CCTV then they might well be able to get the registration

problem with chasing someone who knocked u off is, by the time you've picked up the bike and any bits of bike left on the ground he's gonna be miles away, you also don't wanna jump on a bike u haven't checked for structural damage.

I would assume you've already informed the police...

Definately report it, there are so many CCTV cameras around now, that even if you could describe the model they might even be able to pick it up on other cctv cameras.

Definately report this to the police. It is a legal offence to leave the scene of an accident, with any luck they may be able to catch him. If not, I would hang around that area and hope it is a run he does often.
