first off ive just started riding in to work again... good news as the person i used to have to give a lift in has now passed his test... i cant believe how much more fun it is than the car! Smile I left 20 minutes later and still got there 20 minutes in advance!

ok enough of that, onto the real topic Embarassed

basically i had an idea when i purchased the bandit to do a trip round europe with a couple of mates... due to unforseen circumstances thats no longer possible... question is, is the good ol UK any good for a tour? im talking wales, scotland and england.

Anyone ever done a proper 2,3 weeker? just wondering on places to see, acomodation (probably tents nice and cheap) good roads and of course places to see Wink

Thumbs Up Karma

Have you heard of this?
https://www.roundbritainrally.co.uk/

Gives you something to work towards although I reckon it would take longer than you're planning.

I intend to do it in a couple of years time (I want to take a sabbatical once I've been working 10 years) over a period of a few months on something really silly like a diesel enfield.

I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles.

I'm going to have a go at that this year.

It seems to me to be a good way of getting motivated to get round Britain on the bike.
