After some c*nt attempted to rob my bike and in the process wrote it off, I've finally sorted myself a new bike.

It's taking a bit of time getting used to the non-sportsbike riding position but it seems like a really capable bike, having a center stand is nice too... Cool

Cheers guys,

It's the newer shaped 600 Fazer with a detuned R6 engine in it.

All the reviews I read said it lacked mid-range but I'm finding it a good ride. The only qualm I have is that the front feels a little vague but that might be because I'm used to the 'sports' position. But I guess it's more comfortable than my Gixxer for touring around Europe on... Very Happy

I almost bought one. please don't make me jealous and tell me how much you paid for it as I was looking at an '04 with 3,000 miles on for 2800!

That was a superb price! Alas mine was not quite that cheap, but I'm happy with what I paid for it.

As for mpg, I have only gone through one full tank of petrol and got around 190 miles, but the dealer filled it up so not quite sure how much was in it.

I brimmed the tank the other day and the fuel gauge is at 50% and I've done 105 miles [a mixture of commuting and a few high speed runs]. IIRC the tank holds just under 20 liters so fuel economy seems fairly good.
