No you need to learn to be a bit more flexible.

If you want a sports bike try a different set of rear sets.

Try an Africa Twin, I parked my CD200 next to one a couple of weeks ago and it made the CD look like a monkey bike.

I'm 6'3" and my Thundercats always fitted me comfortably. If you need a 125 get a Varadero or a Comet, instead of bitching.

Im 6'3 and ride a CBR400RR (nc29). Yes if im on a longer ride with the muppets from the north section my back cramps up. But it only does it on the really long rides. As in over 10 hours riding. (last north ride i was riding 12hours straight)

So no, your not too tall for a bike. Just suck it up and put up with a bad back.

Or just get a bike that fits you and don't suffer from a bad back at all - until you crash it into a lamp post.

6'4 15st
like said above . africa twin , varadero 1000 (125) if age is an issue . had both . now on a blackbird the last 4 yrs .

remember newer bikes are getting lighter and smaller by the week
try looking at older bikes

big trails bikes are not as frowned upon as the where a few years back and make for a great tool . Laughing

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'm 6 foot 3 and am still riding my YBR125 until my test in april. I feel like a plonker on it but it seems to be bigger (taller) than most of the other bigger engined bikes I park next to in London!!!

You could get a bigger proportioned sports bike, or a sports tourer. It will still outperform you, without knotting your spine. 400s are small and expensive, it's a very illogical bike choice. In your position I'd be going Thundercat, ZZR600, Bandit or SV. And I know they all fit me fine.

I'm 6ft 2 and I've ridden a 50cc scooter, was way to tall for it but I still rode it. I've also ridden a GN125 a SR125 was too big for both but still rode them.

I ride an NSR125 which I'm a little too big for but I can still ride it easy enough, I've also ridden an SV650 which I was probably too big for but again I still rode it easy enough.
