to be honest. bear in mind this is just my personal opinion of course,
i wouldn't restrict it, its not a million miles away from 33hp any way (53hp officially, but no where near that in reality),
if you ever get pulled say "i guy i bought it from said it was restricted, so as far as im aware it is"
some may say, that's irresponsible and illegal, but why strangle the wee beast over a few hp

Go to a dyno shop and get them to turn the throttle so it only reads to a maximum of 33bhp. THe print-out is a legal document and can be used as proof for an insurance company. Should cost around 50-60quid.

The police can just seize the bike at the road side take it to be tested... That legal doc you say is then worthless. What would make it even worse would be the shop saying you brought it to be tested........
If you going to do that get someone else to do it, but as they say ignorance means nothing in the eyes of the law.. Surprised

Police cant seize it at the side of the road. If they try ask for a deffered inspection and they give you 7 days to take it in. And some insurers ask for restriction cert number. Best off just getting it done and sticking the 2 years out.

If police believe you are riding/driving illegally they can seize your vehicle
