Hi
I've just noticed on my CBR600 outside, that the chain has suddenly vanished, was wrapped around the front wheel and a bike rail. But now its suddenly dissapeard, the only way to remove it would be to cut it or use the key.

Has someone done this in preperation to steal it, or got scared off in the process?

I've got another bike chain to put on it, but what else should I do? Its insured but still.....

I'd park it someone else (safer!) for the time being just in case they are going to come back for it

Hi
Hmmm I could move it to my friends house round the block, but would be a bit of a walk when I need to use it.

I'm in the middle of reading city, and its off the road and covered already

Ok then..prepare yourself.
Tell the cops what has happened. They'll probably do nowt.
Get your camera get some coffee and get a big maglight
If they do come back, then take the pics that will incriminate them i.e touching your bike, vans reg etc and the 18" long metal tube with batteries in it...well need i say more?

Pat

PS move the bike if you like a quiet life

Definitely report it to the police.
There's various cheapish CCTV systems around now, might be worth considering.
I reckon I'd leave it a garage around the corner for a moment (presumably you can always pick it up on the way home from work if need be).

I think he was confused as to why put batteries in it - to which I'd respond "to help hit the thug harder!"

Gives it a bit of weight which helps - especially if it's at the right end

Throwing a selection of kitchen knives at the thief would be more fun and more damaging Twisted Evil

And if they come back and steal the bike you have a lot more walking to do......

Certainly get it reported to the police, while they might not do anything, they may just take the odd trip up the street in the night.

Having a maglight to hand is alot easier to explain to the fuzz than a selection of kitchen knives though.

Unless your having a very posh barbeque
