I feed mine (adult) 2 crickets (large) or a large locust (with back legs chopped off) every other day.
With the babies You can feed them very small crickets, or gutloaded mealworms. I tend to avoid mealworms now, 'cause they aren't as good nutritionally as well prepared crickets or locusts.
I also make a little paste of cucumber and carrot every week or so and leave that in his vivarium for a day then take it out. Generally once they get to a certain age, they will ignore food until they are actually hungry.

Fenton, you actually want to grow a good 2 foot high weed plant, vulnerable to most disturbances, in a tank with a lizard large enough to need a 2 foot high tank (basically iguana's and monitors, ones highly omnivourous the other destructive)...
Right...
As for food, make sure you get the calcium dust of feed up the mealworms, growing bones etc. Mealworms (as mentioned) have fuck all nutrition. Watch out for the autotonous tail above all, always pick up from the front. If they lose the tail they grow back an ugly stump, and lose their fat reserves. ____________________ China traffic/travel bike vid - When I make a sweeping statement, please add the word 'statistically' in to the sentence before you bitch...
From September 2014 to January/February 2015 I will not be using any English, nor reading any. As such, I won't be on here. PM at will, but I won't be checking/posting unless in emergencies. Certainly not for the first couple of months. Please berate me savagely if I break that rule... |

You could grow weed in a Herpetarium but your Gecko would start writing Reggie songs and sit around all day just rollin' an' chillin' man.
I know that large African toads like Geckos. But only one at a time and preferably still alive.
Your heater panel is at 90 farmheight not 90 Centipede?
I hope...
Make sure you give him/her a cool place in the herp. They control body temp. by moving from hot to cool. And it forces them to remain active.
As above ^ best to vary the diet as much as possible and try not to disturb the wee critter too much.
Look for a companion too. (edit never read the post. But red now )
I don't know how they are sexed, but with snakes a metal probe is pushed up their whistle hole and sex determined by how far up it goes compared to overall body length.
They are territorial as most animals are but a big enough house should provide a place where they can get away from each other.
Get book on it. Ask your vet. It is not fair to spring it on him some night when 'Little Gerry the Gecko' goes flat on the floor. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair
