Hi all,
Got the rd insured for the sum of 133 for the year so took it out for a quick blat yesterday. It really seems to bog down midrange but if you keep it in the power through the gears dear lord does it fly!
Goes very very light on the front under fairly hard acceleration and will wheelie if i give it the beans in first or second - as I found out when overtaking and then shi**ing myself
Its like, er, if i hit the sweet spot it trys to launch me off the back but anything else will end up with a loud induction din and not much power.
I got 27miles before my 5er(roughly a gallon) ran dry
Could the fueling be rich? is it worth droppin the needles a notch and see if its any better?
This is my first 2t hence all the questions....
Cheers |

Get a manual and revert everything back to standard settings, you then have a base line and datum points to work from but from my memory it sounds about the par ,you have to keep it "singing" ____________________ CRF230 all you need |

RD 350's have a flat spot just before the powerband. IIRC there is useful torque up to 4500rpm then it bogs down a bit up to 6000prm then wheeeeeee!
Its normal ____________________ Before: Suzuki GT 185. Honda Superdream 250. Yamaha RD350LC. Suziki RG250. Yamaha FZS600. Honda CBR600F3

As above, they do have a flat spot. I fixed mine by fitting a boost bottle. However a lot of people say they don't work It certainly worked on mine. Sounds like you're using a bit too much fuel, I get 35 - 45 mpg depending on how I ride it. What's your filter foam like Might be worth replacing, also, the pipes might need a clean out. |

Pipes are lomas racing and are clean, as are the carbs and pod filters, as I have only just rebuilt the bike.
Its not standard so good chance it would use more fuel ?
The range you said there is a flat spot sounds about right from memory, Im off out on it in a min so will let you know exact rev ranges it bogs in |
