For some reason, the bearing on my Gilera 50cc just decided to grind up, so now its going to take my dad the best part of a week to fix it.. It wont cost much, maybe A fiver, its just an annoyance Evil or Very Mad

However, there is always something good in everything bad (as the old adage goes) - because the front panel has to come off, im respraying it black (from yellow) which makes my bike about 9003% less gay! I only havent resprayed it yet because i wouldnt be able to use my scooter in the mean time, but since its being fixed anyway.. happy days Smile

Just thought i would share my problem with you lovely people Smile

Is it effectively changing the colour of the scooter? If so you need to inform DVLA. Wink

Is this where we all point our fingers and laugh?

Does your mum still tuck you into bed at night too? Wink

Only joking, do you not feel confident in doing it yourself? It helps so much to learn new things and takes relatively no time at all to pick up Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reminder Smile, because yes the scooter will be effectively black (apart from the wheels).

And i should of mentioned, I will be helping - but my dad will be showing me what to do so i dont completely shag it.

Good luck getting it sorted. I hated being without my scooter ( I had a Runner 125 ), you having to rely on buses?

Have you got your heart set on an RS125? Could be worth thinking about a trail-style 125, cheaper and tougher.

Harold_Shand's theory might be the best explanation.
