Hey guys...

After a hefty tour in Afghanistan, me and a mate have booked a couple of flights and a hostel in Budapest for next weekend.

Has anybody been before who can reccomend anywhere decent to go drinking, and anywhere to avoid?

All help appreciated guys

PS i've been warned off about Vaci Utca or something?

My missus has been to Budapest, she said its really nice. The only area to avoid is the business district. Apparently they have two menus in some of the restaurants there, one with low prices and one with high prices.

They show you the low priced ones at the start of your meal, and then they bring out the high priced ones when you are done. Then they march you to a cashpoint to pay for it.

Also there is a rumour that fake policemen can come and ask you for your passport and then steal it. But I've never heard of this actually happening but Apparently you are supposed to carry your passport at all times and the police can ask for it at any time...

These were the two scare stories I heard, but neither of them actually had any relevance to my GF and her trip.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
