Right seeing as i need to respray the tank, whole r/h side, mud guard, and fairing lowers, i can have any paint scheme i want.
Good mate of mine owns a paint shop and i only have to pay for the paint, so money wont be too much of a bitch.
Any ideas on a paint scheme? Rizzla? Or just a standard colour? Any idea on colour...

Exhaust are pretty fucked, stubby? Or stick two other slip ons on the end? Will they even fit?

Eurgh, don't Rizla it. It's your bike though.

I'd say just go for a solid colour.

You should see if you could get some twin oyshi slip on's to fit, I wouldn't stubby them, it's plenty loud enough as it is IMO.

Agreed, Rizla colours wont do the bike any favours.

I think that a good bright solid colour would look nice, I saw a fully faired SV a short while back that was a really nice red.

As for exhausts, I personnally think that a stubby would look good too.

Why does it need respraying Half_life? I havent been on in a while, you crash it? or are you just doing it up man?

I agree with both above, Rizla = crap on anything other than a GSXR, and its gotta be a fookin nice bike to pull it off.

I quite like the modern colours, the gunmetal silver (it'll be called something different but you know what I mean) is beautiful, its not proper silver, like silver with a hint of blue.

Yours is curvy aint it? Always liked em in bright, darker (think a rich, vibrant hornet-esque) yellow Thumbs Up

Stubby the cans - loud as poss for the win Wink

Meh, its not as if another 20 decibels is gonna hurt anyone Thumbs Up

https://img169.imageshack.us/img169/4696/frontstrippedvd9.jpg

i think the forks maybe bent by a few mm. Sick

fixed the exhaust, the bit that joing the down pipe at the back has a tear in it, so im going to have to gum it up or something. forgot to take pics of the end will update tonight.

https://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1291/repaired2nf5.jpg

LOT of work to do, wednesday will try and repair the rear fairing and numberplate bracket, and fit the exhaust.

Then im going to have to wait for parts to come. going to try and fix the side stand and work out why the neutral lights not working tonight.

then after that it whould be easy, its just a matter of replaceing parts, and get it all ready to be resprayed.
Only parts left to order are going to be tank and rear fairing if i cant repair them, front fairing and pillion foot peg, total so far is 200 quidies, probably nearer 300 all finished and resprayed.

You got that bike fixed quick seeing that I thought that you only had a few quid to get it done and with a potenial broken thumb?

Are you sure you only just crashed the SV and not a while back?

ive only stripped it and repaired the exhaust which took what 4 - 6 hours on a Monday night...

and my thumb feels a lot better now, almost full mobility.

That and when you have a free mechanic and workshop available of a night it helps Wink Thumbs Up

what happened there was a lot more embarrassing than what i've done now Mr. Green

i can't be bothered to take the forks out and check, i can tell when im on the bike.

Think you seriously need to sit down and think, should i carry on biking. You mullered your CBR a few times and once badly, and now your on a faster, heavier bike and you will do more damage. If you start to ride defencivly then you will be better off and you can still ride hard and fast on the defence.
Please just take your time Half lyfe before something happends to you, only times a car to pull out and it could be all over.

That could happen to anyone, he's had a few crashes, but I don't think that you telling him he should "have a think" is really necessary, if he wants to then he shall.

How many crashes should one have before they "have a think"?

You can't tell someone to think about their riding it has to come from within, besides most youngsters make the odd mistake.

O and it's defensively. Wink

I love the way we refer to them as youngsters, and we're only 19 Big_Ham lol

Im afraid I agree with 'Ham on this 'un, you cant tell someone to take it easy, and what right do we have to force beliefs on others?

The only thing I will say is that it would be a shame if something happened....to any of us on bikes, or to any innocent motorist/pedestrian that could be involved - not specifically aimed at you Half_Life, aimed at everyone. *shrugs*

Laughing its nice to know people care Thumbs Up Mr. Green
i really dont speed near towns now, i do when the road is clear with no side turnings, granted i was going too fast, but you know what its like, new bike - oo i wonder how fast it'll go? Laughing

got a few new parts today which im going to fit to night. One thing that is extremely weird is the side stand and neutral light.

The side stand is about 90mm thick, its a lump of metal that i couldn't bend with a vice and fooking big hammer, this bolts on to the frame which is about 20 cm away from the neutral switch. Both are broken. It seems really weird that the stand is bent, i cant bend it its so thick, and its managed to bend about 45 degrees, this combined with the neutral light is freaky. They are the only bits of damage on the left hand side of the bike, theres not even a scratch. Neutral
Anyone make sense of this... i cant...

Its not just you.

A kid on a Cub90 was sat at the traffic lights next to me the other day, must have been 16/17, looked quite chavvy.

"What yoo 'ad out of it mayte?", he shouts.

"159mph sonny jim.", before pulling away calmly and quickly.

Also, got in from a night out a while back, (admittedly, it was 20 past 5 in the am) but I wanted a cup of tea.

I can feel my balls shrivelling as we speak.
