WTf is the government playing at?

Maybe if the sentences were a lot harsher in the first place there would be less criminal activity. People know that they stand a good chance of getting away with their crime & if they do get caught then the penalties are that soft that it is no deterrent.

My ex broke my nose and ended up in court, he got bail!! He then breached his bail conditions many times by calling at my address and ended up threatening to rape me, by ripping at my clothes & pinning me down (which my children heard), then he broke my nose again. He got 170 days in prison, with days off for pleading guilty!! He ended up serving 3 months in prison.

Do you have brothers?

I hate justice that does nothing for victims and only serves 'The Loh'. If a friend or family member were to break his legs they would be banged up for years.

BTW. Would you take him back? Embarassed

No his prison sentence did me a favour, broke the cycle of seeing him around. I still see him occasionally now, but only because he owes me money and he just makes me pity him as he drifts from one hostel to another.

Blackpool magistrates are soft though, I have sat through many trials whilst waiting for my ex to be brought up from the cells and most people seem to get a small fine, a conditional discharge or probation.

There is no justice now for the victim. I was lucky, no serious injuries, but others really suffer & get nothing.
