Hi, i noticed today my rear light on my DT125X is'nt working as a night light. It works when you use the brakes but stays off otherwise.

Has anyone got any tips or ideas what the problem is? I don't really know much about this sort of stuff & its due its first MOT next month.

It needs a new bulb.

Your bulb will be dual filament (one for brake, one for tail)

Oh, lol. I feel like a right twat now! I assumed because it was working as a brake light it was something else.

Is there a way to know which bulb type i need? I know bulbs normally have numbers & letters printed on them but which one's is it to identify & order what bulb i need?

lol it's normally something simple.

Any petrol station should sell one, you want to look for a 12v 21/5w bulb.

It should look like this:

Alright, thanks for that.

While i'm here do you have any ideas why my hazards won't work?

When i flick the hazard switch the indicators flash for a split second then go off, the speedo indicator light stays on though. If i then turn the hazards off the indicators wont work until your turn off & restart the bike. When i use all my indicators separately they are ok. Really weird

Hmmm strange.
If all the bulbs are ok and the battery is fully charged then I can only suggest giving the switch a bit of a clean.
I wouldn't expect a major issue if your bike is only 3 year old.

Yeah the battery is fine & the indicators were new 2 weeks ago. Strange i know, i'll take a look at the switch when i'm off tomorrow & give it a good clean.

Thanks for your help Thumbs Up
