Why just not display the feedback at all, until both parties have left it for each other, then it is displayed, and will be honest, (not retaliating to what the other left) |
I wholeheartedly agree, that way sellers will be forced to put the postage price more accurately, rather than just an addition to the sale.
A feedback system like that would be good, so long as there was a way you could appeal against negatives in case someone negged for fun. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Another daft idea.......
I got negative feedback on a book i was selling all because the buyer failed to read the description, he just read the title......
Never contacted me, just left negative and returned the book....
As a seller what can you do with prats like that.
I think the feeback system is a false safety net, as often people will agree not to leave negative as they know they will get negative back. So the bad sellers/buyers get away with it over and over again.
Perhaps a simple rating system where its not known who is leaving what rating, that way the real iffy one's will be outed. Or simply drop it alltogether and let ebay sort it out. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

If people are worried about getting retaliatory negative feedback then do exactly as I do.
If you purchase an item you have a maximum of 60 days to leave feedback for said item. if you're leaving negative feedback and know you'll probably get it back in return then..
wait until day 59, preferably on the 23rd hour, as close as you can to the end of the hour.
this way you can leave your feedback as you want, then the other seller doesn't have time to retaliate as it has past the 60day limit.

But by the time 60 days came around, I totally forgot about it |
