My XJ's were just not co operating so I taught them a lesson....

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/IMG_3644smaller.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/IMG_3639smaller.jpg

Guess where I got it! ^^

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/IMG_3645smaller.jpg

Naturally....

It's got:

Arrow Hindle Ti exhaust system
Arrow Flip up screen, (may change back to stock but I don't know yet because the screen is actually pretty good)
Arrow Renntec sports rack (going to try and find some grabrails but keep the rack for roadtrips)
Arrow Scottoiler
Arrow Crash bungs

I got £200 knocked off the asking price, they put 12 months MOT on it and 6 months tax and put a new battery in it. They gave me a carbon tank sticker pad thing and £40 off a new helmet aswell so I'm pretty happy Thumbs Up

It pulls like a train! I couldn't help myself on the ride home whacking the throttle to the stop and just seeing everything go into a blur! Bit of a step up from my XJ....

Used to hate them when i was younger but they have seriously grown on me. Good amount of poke and grunt in them and I think the red looks better than the green.

Good choice mate, enjoy it Thumbs Up

I've always loved big retro naked bikes. I was sort of looking for a bandit 12 but I found this instead and I fell in love with it. I reckon red looks better aswell, just aswell because my leather jacket is red.....!

Is the bike really short or do you have a surprisingly high crotch?

I remember these as a kid and the looks still look fresh and aggressive as they did all those years ago.

Red better than green, thats blasphemy I tell ya.

It's not especially short but it's pretty wide and I have a 33" inside leg.... I'm standing on the sidestand side of the bike in that pic so it's sloping downward aswell.

Don't be knocking fire service boots! They're waterproof, fireproof and comfy to boot! (terrible pun intended...)

I can't stop looking at the thing. I thought I'd better take some better pictures before it gets covered in grime and road gunk so I went to a weird place I know of in Llanberis which is right next to an old bomb storage place and took these:

Love the bike Rob Thumbs Up I bet it's a dream on the mountain roads with all that torque!

PS - if you get a chance directions to the bomb shelter would be cool, I've been wanting to explore that place for ages but can never find it Mr. Green

Very very nice! Only thing i'd do is take the headlight and fairing piece off and replace it with a standard round headlight, would make it look so much better! You could always then fit a givi screen afterwards if you wanted the protection, you can get some pretty nice looking ones.

The only thing that dates it for me are those mirror heads, they look like cheapo aftermarket jobs, try and change them, otherwise it`s a real beauty, shining like the proverbial shithouse door, the black casings are just like mirrors. As has already been said, look after it and keep it clean.-Jockey

Lovely. Thumbs Up I'd never noticed the spangly swingarm on those before. I might just prefer that to the Z thou.

Thanks for all the comments!

I have a stock screen and grabrails on the way so that should help out for my overall view of the bike. I'm toying with the idea of getting a belly pan aswell to keep all the crap off the headers.

I think I've spent more time cleaning it than riding it so far though as the gritters have been going crazy up here Sad

I would have thought a fenda extenda would have a done a much better job at that. I think bellypans are designed more for looks than function.

Feel free to roast me if I'm wrong.

It already has a fender extender on but it's not proving to be mega effective at the moment with all the gritters out in force, I guess I'm just going to have to keep scrubbing!
