https://www.intute.ac.uk/

You may find this quite useful. theres also..

Quote:
Science and Technology
Arts and Humanities and Creative Industries
Social sciences, including law, business, hospitality, sport and tourism
Health and life sciences

Its a searchable collection of info off the web, but instead of searching through piles of uttershite on google these are checked by academics and relevant and more importantly accurate.

Read an interesting article on the accuracy of info between wikipedia and britanica online, there both 80-90% accurate (generally britainica slightly better but not much).. but thats still pretty poor.

Hopefully somebody will find this useful, tbh I'm a bit peeved i didn't find this earlier as it would have saved me monumental amounts of hassle :/

Sounds like a service called Infotrack, though I've used various guises of it notably called Athens, its fantastic for writing essays as it enables you to cite sources easily and always find things to juxtor position your arguments and support your arguments.

Thus instead of spending months for dissertation looking up 100s of books and articles you can do your dissertation in a week, which I did do and scored a 1st.

Ahh yes, its very similar, although not quite so vast and not quite so specific, afaik infotrack can be accessed through athens but you need to be part of a university to access it (unless you pay £10k odd subscription fee or whatever mad number it is) I'm not 100% on that though.

What I'm doing right now is an access course but next year I'll be on a degree and I'll be wanting one of them shiny firsts as well so best to get into good habits.
