Try parkers for bikes?

Or alternatively it would appear looking on autotrader/ebay for a similar year model and mileage will give you a range. Parkers is usually good, but this is a better way of assessing the market, 'cause it gives you real sales that are going on right now.

*autotrader do have some silly prices though.

Parkers can be a bit off. Glass's Guide is the trade guide, but unless you know someone in the trade it can be hard to get a hold of.

I sometimes get to peek at and photocopy a page or two when I insure a new bike, so insurance companies can't argue too much if I claim.

They offer a consumer version online where for a few quid you can get a valuation on one bike/car. Can't remember the address: try googling 'glass's guide' EDIT: https://www.glass.co.uk/

Maybe someone who on BCF who has one can PM you?

in my opinion, the best way is to watch auctions of similar bikes on ebay and see what they go for

Trading in is in the dealers favour, They'll probably be giving you a low price, Though its handy to save the hassle of...

Selling the R6 privately, That way you've got the (or almost) the best money for it.

I have access to the Glasses guide book, Which is probably what the dealer is using but they are the 2006/2007 versions so obviously not much use.

I'd have said thats about right for a dealer. If its in good condition you could definately get more privately, but the question is: How much more?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Don't use Glasses, as it's for dealers the prices are way off. In fact, my solictor forced the defending insurer to use Glasses as opposed to their Auto Trader valuation, and it bumped my payout by £600. Laughing
