Makes you think

Well after a really bad end to last year and a really bad start to this year, which included
December:
Working all the time due to a very stressful job at work my girlfriend decided to leave me after a 2year relationship. I started drinking and soon my life was in a downward spiral.

January:
On the 2nd i had a bike accident.
on the 4th i got ill for a week.
When i finally got back to work i found out that due to a lack of work people were getting laid off. Due to many mishaps before christmas, i was thinking i was next to go so the drinking increased.
On the 16th i had another bike accident.
Throughout January i was constantly having problems with
my bike.

As you can probably quess i have been pretty down for the past 2 months, but riding home tonight down the A1031, with the sun setting over the wolds, which was a really beautiful sight to see, I realised how good life actually is, and how a few evens that are totally different in aspects can come together in your head and make you feel worse. But in the end life can get you down but it will always pick you back up and you'll land on your feet. Now i think about how, lucky i am not to have done anything stupid in these last 2 months, and how close to me my friends and family are to me, i also have a new girlfriend, and altogether i feel alot better.

Has anyone else had a "EXPERIENCE" like this, because i am quite mystified as to how a single event cn change your life as much as this simple 5minute ride home has tonight.

Can understand when things go wrong and you feel nothing is going to get better.

the way I look at life is my friends and family are all health and well and there are people always worse off. I know its hard to think about that when things go wrong but everything always turns out right in the end, as long as you are stay strong and positive.

When im down i usually take my dog out for a walk and on the field I walk him there is a homeless man that has a tent in the woods. He sleeps there in any condition, and that alone makes me realise how lucky I am..

Im glad things are working out for you mate, and I know that your life will be happy as long as you fight any battles that come your way and stay strong.

ps. drinking is not the answer its a temp solution but will never make things right. Only you can pick yourself up and say 'what is ment to be will be'.

I didn't really have the same 'issues' you did, but at one stage i felt really really down - nothing seemed to be working.

Then i went out for a drink with a mate and he said something along the lines of 'no matter what - we'll always be mates so any problems come and tell me.'

Since then things have picked up.

It's not letting things get you down that sees you through - makes you stronger.
