Are there any laws on how to mount a numberplate? Like the amount of screws it needs.. spacing etc? I have cut back the rear end of my FMX and instead of spending £20 on a tailtidy i would rather use the holes that are there.

Nope, it just mentions that the fixings must not alter the appearance of the numbers or letters. Guess it needs to be secure as well.

as long as it is flat, and readable when stood behind it at the same level as the numberplate you can put it on using superglue if you so wished
