does anyone know if a zephyr 750 engine will fit into a zephyr 550 frame? Is there much modification required?

I have started a zephyr project,, its a frame just now,,, and the engine is goosed.... But i can get a hold of a 750 engine.

Also does anyone know a nice front end that would fit on? pref with upside down forks and mounts for normal handlebars.... (Not clip ons)

Cheers

hugh

No, it wont. The 750 engine is physically bigger than the 550 so you would have to do some serious hacking of the engine mounts and probably the frame geometry to get it in.

You should be able to pick up a 550 Kwak engine from a breakers for around £150, any Kwak 550 4 cylinder engine will go straight in.
