Hi my bike is a Yamaha Jog RR LC 07 plate. My problem is that i have needed some new variator rollers for a while and have recently bought them but i have only been able 2 get 4.2 grams and the ones i had origonally were 4.0 grams so any ideas what my optimun weight for my bike is?

thanks in advance

Optimum weight depends on lots of factors so no one will able to tell you a figure without spending time with the bike...

It depends on rider weight and the exhaust thats fitted... roller weight effects how quickly the bike alters its gear ratios, changing weights is done to keep the engine in its power band after changes have been made... to be running 4 gram rollers it must have a very peaky race pipe fitted.

If your still running the standard variator then they are 15x12mm in size so just goto any scooter tuning site and order some....

VE supermarket will have them... or Beedspeed.

If not on ebay, type Yamaha Rollers...

and theres loads...

Scooter Assasins have them @ £3.50 a set, or he does a tuning pack for £9.50 that has from 2gram to 17gram.

EcosseScooters have Polini ones at About £8 a set starting from 2.8 grams upwards..

Plenty of choice in weight and quality Cool
