does anyone else find this small black feed pipe a load of shite....ok so i twist it so its pointing right next to the sprocket.....but it just dont stay there..

thinking about replacing this with some very small copper tubing or putting black pipe (4mm ithink) inside some copper tubing to keep it rigid..

just wondering if theres a better solution...gonna ask scott oiler as i think this lets the kit down..

isnt there a metal bracket that guides the tube towards the sprocket? ive got one on mine but its a single swing arm so dunno if its any different. I've just bent mine so it points the tube in towards the sprocket.

When i fitted mine it did take alot of bending and swearing to get the pipe to stay right on the sprocket, or you could buy a dual injector.

i have one of those dual injectors, they should include that in the package in the first place, i was a bit disappointed that it didnt!

Now that thing is only working on one side, i have cleaned out the damn thing and messed around with it but it still doesnt work. Pain in the arse things.

Not sure if that'd be a good idea. It may be OK, but I think the reason they make those parts plastic is so that if it ends up getting sucked into the chain/sproket, it just gets eaten up easily and doesn't damage the chain or throw you off.

Perhaps copper pipe would be soft enough that it wouldn't be an issue, but I wouldn't be keen to risk it myself.

If you look on the scottoiler site, I think they do some alternative mounting brackets that might help. I've seen a couple of bikes where people have made their own little plastic mountings as well, so rather than bend the tube, they've got a little pivot mechanism that can position it more accurately.

I've just fitted a scottoiler to my bike (off the road at the moment), and I still don't have the delivery mounting right myself yet either, so I know how you feel.

I had problems with my feed tube coming off, so I threw some heat shrink on it and that was that, as far as the tube not staying where it should, there is a small lenth of metal in the pipe on mine (came with the kit), I just bent that right towards the sprocket and it has forced the black tube to sit close enough without rubbing.

I have a loobman dual injector which i've yet to fit, as I found it a total pain in the arse trying to get the delivery head in the right place. It uses cable ties and a bendable metal rod to splint the tube to the swingarm, but it's near impossible to get the angle right. Considered attempting to mount it near the front sprocket instead, at least then the mess would just fill your sprocket casing rather than go all over your rear wheel.
