Has anyone ever bought bike parts from america?
I've been looking to get a Yoshimura tri-oval for my cbr 600 f-sport and noticed they are alot cheaper buying new from ebay in america, eg here.
The total cost including shiping is roughly £200, which is half the price of buying in the uk. Am i likely to be hit with large import duty tax?
Is it worth emailing and asking if they would mark item as a gift?

I,ve been buying quite a few parts latey when l,ve had no other choice. its very unlikely they would send anything marked as a gift (l,ve tryed many times and its very rare to find some one who would do it) once the item as been sent along with the piss take postage costs you get stung by 17.5% VAT and import tax plus parcel force charge a fee of there own (£8+ depending on the value).
its not cheap
