OK, I'm just imaging the worse and say for instance I lowside on a corner and wipe out 3 desmodicci trackday riders on a corner.

all bikes are fubar'd, does this mean that I would treat this as a normal insurance claim or is the TRACK, a no mans land unless they have trackday insurance?

very interested know.

Cheers.

Hi

Unlikely the insurance companies would want to know anything about it.

Accidents happen on track.

All the best

As above - road insurance won't cover you.

Indemnity forms and the 'Motorsport is dangerous' signs around the track do cover you Smile.

Don't ride like a twat, give others plenty of space and you should be fine.
Don't overtake on the inside of a corner and if those expensive duke's are overtaking on the outside of you, then more fool them Smile.

Ok, it's another level on, but in racing I've been taken out a few times as well as twice managing to take others out (well, my bike did after I'd left it's company).

As above, nothing on road insurance, most/all specifically state you aren't covered on track.

If you/them have track insurance you should be ok.

Otherwise you'll have to fight it out in the gravel trap.

Although I dunno, if I was riding carefully and considerately, minding my own business and not being an idiot and some loon slid into me and totalled my bike I'd be a little bit annoyed Razz So I guess you just have to be extremely careful, no rash overtaking maneouvers or cock-swinging contests and you'll be alright Wink

It's a risk you take when you get on the track. I think most people accept that.

Although at Cadwell last year someone punched someone else after an on-track antic. He was promptly arrested and charged.

If I got taken out, I'd be pissed the hell off. But it is a risk you take.

If a rider's too risky in a low group he'll be black flagged very quickly if the company running it is half decent.

a track day should be about having fun, and enjoying your bike and the freedom a track bring's not racing or worrying about other rider's.
