https://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/
https://www.actioncameras.co.uk/

They both do kits. I did a write up of the installation of a kit into my R6 (clicky) but DGS now do power converters so that simplifies the entire process. A solid state recorder is DEFINITELY the way to go, because the HDD one suffers from problems with vibration. Thumbs Up

Worth remembering the Police can use video evidence if you are pulled up for speeding. There was a case a few years ago where a guy was pulled over for a minor offence and when they looked at the camera they found evidence of him doing twice the speed limit. He had the book thrown at him.

When i see or have an accident ill use my camara phone to take pictures where the vehicles involved stopped from like 100 angles as any good police investigator will be able to tell what happened.

Carry a disposible one,

due to case law (namely a scummy parking attendant photoshopping evidence photos) electronic photos are not as good evidence as 35mm film,

you can also zoom in a helluva lot on a disposible camera image since it equates to about 22 million megapix and still make out fairly fine details. While phone cameras maybe 5 megpix but they have poor optics and zooming in just a bit it gets all blurry.

Still doesn't help if they gun the throttle after hitting you though ,

The solid-state units suffer frame-skipping (can't write data to the card fast enough). The HD one is ok with vibration if you isolate it in a bum-bag or rucksack.

The SanDisk unit I have doesn't suffer from any noticeable frame skipping, probably because it buffers the data as it records it - sometimes resulting in a short wait after you press the stop button and it writes the remaining buffer to the card. I assumed that all SS recorders did something similar?

My HDD recorder couldn't be placed anywhere in the bike, I'd have to wear it under my jacket or in a bumbag and I didn't really find that suitable for trackdays.
