Ok, third thread in one morning on here, sorry guys.
Couple of problems with my bike, firstly, every now and then when I press the starter button it will start but the motor will stick on until it runs out of battery. I took the relay out and tested it and suddenly this went from happening 100% of the time to happening every now and then.
Next, theres the fact that sometimes, usually just after I set off, the bike it very jumpy in it's delivery, sometimes losing power altogether. This is not good up steep hills. Yesterday it did this, and then the starter motor stuck, I had to bump it and take a 5 mile detour to avoid any steep hills on the way home.
The bike is a Derbi GPR50
Any ideas? |

Choke working alright ? Most bikes will be a bit jumpy at the moment due to the cold weather, till they have warmed up.
Make sure its warm before you set off.
Could also be cold seizing if you are over reving it too soon.
Starter motor sticking could also be related to the motor itself and the clutch that connects it to the bike. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
