She lived a short life, only owned her for just over a year.

I told myself I wouldn't buy the same bike twice, I was tempted by another NC30...but the 7R is the dogs. Twisted Evil Thumbs Up

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/Kwak2.jpg

My trip Belgium with her did it for me. Was riding in and around several other bikes and the 7R held it’s own with anything really, partly down to the riding, but that was it! Riding this into Europe on this gave me wood.

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00383.jpg

Anyways, most of you know what happened to her.

We won’t talk of that said moment, her spirit still lives. And my goal is to re-create all that I had before.

It’s been slow progress but mainly down to this hellish weather, it was close to impossible to keep up some kind of upkeep.

So enter 7R number two…

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/media.jpg

A nice clean example, indicators that would put a Honda to shame. What looks like a prop out of pirates of the Caribbean stuck to the engine. A hideous number plate holder, weird Kawasaki stickers on the side and piss poor brakes.

Time to get busy…if a little slowly.

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00720.jpg

Strip down begins, ncie having two machines to paly with. Razz Thumbs Up

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00757.jpg

Braided hoses were a bit tricky...

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00773.jpg

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00776.jpg

Shame some of the bits i can't use again after the crash Thumbs Down

POW!

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00152.jpg

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC00153.jpg

Stickers off now.

https://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y278/Killa127/DSC02087.jpg

So far then, braided hoses over, both wheels and new front discs.
Stickers off
New LED indicators
Smaller plate
Scorpion System
Single seat cowel
Undertray

And cleaned up a bit Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Making progress Very Happy

Laughing It does make it look really odd i think, Suzuki have their decals sorted. I think Kawasaki employed a playgroup with Paintbrush.
Yeah a few little tweaks left to make it almost a replica of the old girl.
The rear fairings are from the old bike and the exhaust system, it's like my old bike had a doner card. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Whole heartily agree.

Call me a window licker of you want, but I think that the bike rocks as 'stock' and any little tart up just takes away from what makes the bike the iconic legend that it is evolving into.

Adam:

Arrow Tank range of not that much over a ton and costs £12 to fill.
Arrow Its a faired bike so a sod to get to things without dismantling half the bike.
Arrow Speed will certainly have you smiling with only a little heart sinking due to a little lackluster in the mid range punch. Drop a gear and all is forgiven though.
Arrow With some Corsa III's front and rear the bike feels so stable despite weighing on the naughty side of 200kg.
Arrow 2 up? The wifes to fat at the moment to even tie her shoes so not been on the back, so have no idea.

Thanks for comments guys...im not looking to put LED's all over it and dragon decals Laughing

Only slight mods that make this sleak looking 7R look the nuts.

I need a tank pad to replace the naff on on there now, some nice bars ends, a smoked screen that is the same shape as the original.
I can't think of much else. The front mudgaird needs replacing but you cant see the damage until you look over it so im not too fussed.

Anyone got ideas for nice mods, keeping in line with the theme.

(No Wave, im not buying a can of petrol and matches Razz Middle Finger )

Ducati couldn't stand the punishment, id destroy the flimsy Italian tart because it wouldn't be allowed to hide in the garage, ever.

The SP2 would be nice, but the insurance is a joke.

Never had a serious problem with a 7R in over 20K.

I think you and me both know a Ducati wouldn't survive as well through a years worth of UK weather.
