so today was a bad day... woke up this morning to find some dick had stolen my number plate. not good times. so had to report that to the police then ride to halfords to get a new one (had a reference thing in case i got pulled over).
then on the way back on a horrible set of crossroads, the car in front of me hesitated in pulling out and braked suddenly. dunno what happened next, but me braking/slipping/tensing up made me fall off. loved how drivers did bugger all, a guy walking past who was a biker was very helpful as i was shaken up. was worried my cbr's fairing would be messed up, but thanks to the bike landing mostly on my knee, only damage is the indicator lens coming off, and a scratched bar end and exhaust. fun times!
but yes hats off to the dude that helped, and also should i be worried about any damage to the brakes as they felt a bit different on the ride back

I think you might have locked up the front by grabbing it too hard and it washed out , but BWFC crashed his bike worse a couple years ago and it cost him about £150-£200 to fix to stock condition.

How do the brakes feel different? ,

do they judder? , is there a pulse effect through the lever when you brake? .

Or is it just psychological?

they seem a bit more grabby i guess. they used to be more progressive but now the lever is a bit loose then it grabs, nothing major though. might be because the right hand side bit with the mirror and lever on bent round a bit?

If someone's stolen your numberplate you'd better report it to DVLA and the police. Someone could be hooning around on a stolen bike using that plate.
